13 more died of Corona in last 24 hours

Coronavirus has killed 13 more people across the country in the last 24 hours. The death toll from the virus rose to 8,026. This information was given in the press release on coronavirus of the health department on Saturday (February 13).
The statement, signed by Prof. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Department (Administration), said seven of the 13 people killed in the last 24 hours were men and six were women. All of them died at the hospital.
It also said that in the last 24 hours, 12,398 samples were collected in 210 laboratories across the country, including the capital. Of these, 12,071 samples were tested. With this, the total number of sample examinations in the country stood at 36 lakh 35 thousand 218.
Corona was detected in the bodies of 291 more people in the test. As a result, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at five lakh 40 thousand 26 people.
The number of patients who recovered in different hospitals and homes across the country was 364. With this, a total of four lakh 6 thousand 6 patients have been cured in the country.
In the last 24 hours, the sample test rate in the country is 2.28 percent. So far, the detection rate is 14.09 percent considering the sample test and the recovery rate considering the detection is 90.10 percent. The identified mortality rate is 1.53 percent.
Incidentally, on March 8, the first case of coronavirus infection in the country was reported by the Department of Health. The first corona patient died on March 18. So far, 8,026 people have died in Corona in Bangladesh. Of them, 6,259 are males (85.62 percent) and 2,007 are females (24.27 percent).
